Hello Jody Dobson. My name, believe it or not, is Jody Dobson. I am a 59 year-old man and here's what I can tell you -- it is your name and it is a good name. I too have struggled with the name (a nickname for Joseph) at many points in my life. I tried changing it to Joe - when I went to camp at age 11, college at 18 - but now I am happy with the uniqueness of the name, and I can joke about the mistakes that people still make about it, and it is me. As it will be you. I don't know where you live - but in the south, it is quite a common name for men. Have you read "The Yearling" by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings? It is where my mother found the name. Be proud.
