Eira is pronounced like "EYE-rah", but sounds more like "OY-rah" in Welsh. So Eirwen would be similar to "IRE-wen".

But it probably varies depending on where in Wales you are.

Yes, it does vary. I don't remember which accent is from the north part, but one would pronounce "Eir" like AY, and the other like EYE.
