1. Yes. I know one who's about 7. And according to this stat it's actually n. 26 for 2007. So it might be actually be making some kind of comeback.

2. Not sure if it's given to babies. I know a Russian Maria in her mid-30s and another in her late 20s.

For Midori and Sadako, they're used, I'm not sure if for babies, though. Names ending in -ko fell out of use in recent years because the suffix means "child" and it's now considered belittling, so it's probably difficult to encounter a Sadako under 20 or so.
