Re: whats my name in japanese
in reply to a message by Mike
I study Japanese, and there is no Japanese equivalent for English/Hebrew names. What they do is just write it out in their language (katakana), it would be said something like My-keh-ru.

Likewise. My name is bery difficult to say in Japanese, as i have lots of "v's".I found that if you REALLY want a more authentic name than just using the katakana, what you sohuld do is this.Find out your name-meaning. For example, my real name is Genevieve (hence the many v's). My name means, white wave, as in, the crest of a wave. Find the word in a japanese dictionary etc, and you've got yourself a real Japanese name (not to mention it will be easier for you japanese friends wen you visit). My name translates as "hatou" you see?
