Who's Who in the Old Testament by Joan Comay says that Mahlon meant "sickly" in ancient Hebrew, which makes it the masculine form of Mahlah, which is listed on this site. In the Book of Ruth, Mahlon is Ruth's first husband and the son of Naomi.
