Saints' names info???
Does anyone have any info on the following saints names (not the saints themselves.)My last attempt at this question got me plenty of info on the saints themselves, but hardly any about the names. Please send name information, not saint information. If you don't believe me on any of them, just go to www.catholic.org/saints.Annemund

Last time some people offered you a lot of information about saints names (etymology, history...), not only about saints. Check:About Álvaro and its patronyme Álvarez

According to Hanks & Hodges's A Dictionary of Surnames, Alvarez is a patronymic surname from Alvaro. Archangela would almost assuredly simply be a feminine form of the word "archangel". I would also think it likely that Anysia is simply a respelling of Anisia, which is a Greek name originally meaning "fulfillment."
