I pronounce my middle name HE-le-nah (German prn.).

In Portuguese it's pronounced something like ay-LAY-na (it's not really an 'ay' sound, but it's the closest English can get to it). Other pronunciations I've seen (not in my language though) are helen-a, he-LAY-na and he-LEE-na.

I like your niece's parents' taste ;)
