As this is the name of a character in a cartoon program set in a fantasy world, you are really only going to get an accurate answer by contacting the writers and/or producers of the program and asking them how they came up with the name.
A little Googling shows that there is a Nigerian surname Iroh which is probably from the Yoruba language. However, the television program is if anything more Asian influenced, so it is highly likely that the correspondence between the Nigerian name and the name of the character is pure coincidence.
