You guys always come up with so many meanings and names that aren't on this database...what other sites or books do you use?

It's easier to point you to my page of naming links. There are many, many sites listed there that give meanings. You eventually learn which to trust, and it's good to cross-reference several. I've found that many of the culturally-specific sites are the most trustworthy.Look in the Cultural/Era and General Naming sections.http://home.comcast.net/~wish66/Onomastic_Links.html(I agree on the Teresa Norman book, although it's not always COMPLETELY accurate. It's far better than most mass market books, certainly, and is a favorite of mine.)

Often you can just google the name: Write f.ex. "Names Anna", and if you are lucky, you will find a site where the meaning is given. I can also recommend a book called "A World of Baby Names". I think the author is called Teresa Newman, but I may be totally wrong.
