Does anyone know the meaning of this name? It may be Slavic, maybe from former Yugoslavia.

I am not sure but in roman language there is an adjective:
MARRONE (ital) a sort of brown (colour)

maybe it might have something in common...

It is not Slavic. It could be Romance.
