I saw the name Dinja in a German magazine. The woman's last name was German and I could not find a hint that she was born in another country. But that might be possible. Do you have any further information about the name Dinja? Could it be related to Diana?

Well, Dinja is Croatian word for cantaloupe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cantaloupe). I've never seen it used as a name, but Dunja (Quince - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quince ) is a common name.
It is also possible that it's a nickname in vein of Sonja/ Tanja, etc. for Diana or another Di- name.

Google has also revealed that dinya is an Arabic and Kurdish word. In Kurdish it means 'world'.
