Subject: DAVIN

Hello all,
I have a 15 yr old cousin who wants to know the significance of his given name. What I have been able to find so far is that the male name DAVIN has it's origins in Scandinavia. One spot said its source is a Scandinavian expression meaning "Brightness of the Finns" without any further elaboration. I am hoping to compile some sort of "Davin" file, not necessarily other people named Davin, but more where the name comes from and other "non human" sources of the name. i.e. is there a town, fiction containing the name, etc.
Any help greatly appreciated!!
