Davins of the world seem to unite: there is even a Davin Web Ring. As a starting point, check out:

There you will discover that Davin is, among other things, a Cambodian Angel.

Other possibilities:
It may be related to Deven, Gaelic for "poet" . Or it may be yet another version of David.
