I recently met a girl named Enna. She says it's a real name, but she lied to me about some other things, so I'm not sure whether I should believe her. It is pronounced "Ehn-Nuh." Anyone know whether Enna is a real name?

It could be a shortened form of one way to pronounce Helena. But, if she's untruthful or not, lots of people don't know where their names come from, just as lots of people give their babies names that they like the sound of, without going any further. So let's not judge too harshly; though I must say it's not a name that I immediately warm to.

Ancient Latin must be rather different from the kind I learnt, sweety. Henna, meaning high? Indeed. I'd like to see a reference for that. And I simply don't believe that a sensible bunch like the Romans would call a place Castle of High. Enna's Place, yes of course, but that doesn't give the meaning. Nor do you. If you've got it, I'd be interested.
