Re: Given name Zane
Now this may be something for our Albanian friends:
ZANA is the name of a number of Albanian goddesses or rather fays or muses taking care of heroes. They sing at night by the wells, they dance and play and pick flowers. (Knaurs Lexikon der Mythologie, 2002).
Seibicke, HDV says: Pre-Roman goddess from the Balkan, later identified with Diana.
But maybe this is an unauthorized identification of ZANA and ZANEAndy ;—)

Just for your informationYou're new here, so I thought I'd warn you that our "Albanian friend" is a known troll whose used multiple names (against site rules) and impersonated members of the board (including me). He also gives outrageously inaccurate etymologies, with nearly every name in the entire world apparently coming from Albanian or "Albanish" (in his early days).Search for the names Constantin, Kassandri, or BibleRiot in the Archives. Those archived posts will illustrate this guy pretty well, I think.Miranda (who warns that this post may be deleted quickly so as to avoid Constantin hijacking it)

Thank you! That's exactly what I had in mind when I wrote about "our Albanian friends". I haven't been on this board for long but this is obvious. Pavlos seems to be one of his special friends.
Is there a pathological term for the urge to show off?Andy ;—)
