Esslyn
Its not made up. It is a welsh name. my son is named Eslyn (with one 's') after his grandfather, who had a welsh mother. Her parents immigrated from Wales when she was young. She named her son after a childhood friend in Wales. I do not think that Eslyn has ever been a common welsh name but it is definitely a welsh name. It is more commonly spelt with a double s ('ss') as in midsommer murders character. I wish that my son's great grandmother had spelled it with a double s, because people tend to pronounce it as Ezlin (rhymes with Roslyn) which is heinous - you don't hear people calling Jessicas Jezica. Oddly, enough, the references to someone named Eslyn or Esslyn that do periodically crop up tend to be to americans of hispanic descent. Seems unlikely to be the same name. never heard of the name Cully outside of that show. terrible name for a girl.
