Dmote?
I was reading a local paper and there was this woman called Natalie and she had a boyfriend called Dmote. I tried looking this up on the database but it wasn't there. Could someone please tell me what nationality this name is? Thanking you in advance,BSchoer10

Were there multiple references to the boyfriend in the article or only one instance of the name? If there were only one or two references, my best guess is that this is simply a misprint for Demonte, which is a fairly common African-American name.

Dmote, as in: demote? How depressing! It looks like an African-American invention, but why anyone would give a name like that to any baby they intended to be fond of is beyond me. A friend of mine has several brothers with D- names, mostly invented, Demornay being perhaps the strangest; but I can't think where Mote might have come from. And Natalie is such a bland little name ...
