Avon means "river" (from Brythonic, "abona"/in Welsh river is "afon," which is Anglicized to "Avon" as in the River Avon and the city Stratford-upon-Avon), and Lea is Old English for "clearing/meadow."This message was edited by the author on January 2, 2012 at 5:02:57 AM
