As a Swiss name, from the "sound" of it, I would guess that Fiana is a Romansh name. If the Fiana from your family tree was living in the Grisons (Kanton Graubünden), this would be all the more likely.I cannot prove it, however. Google shows that there are people named Fiana living today in Switzerland, but probably very few.

That's pretty interesting. I know that her father's family was located in Zurich from at least the mid 1500s. I have no idea where her mother was born, all it says is Switzerland. As it's listed, Fiana was born in Bernack, Winthal, Switzerland, a place that apparently does not exist, at least according to Google search.Thank you for responding!
