I can't help with the meaning beyond what the previous poster said, but wanted to point out that if this is a Russian name, it would originally have been written in the Cyrillic alphabet, and there are a number of ways to transcribe it into our Roman alphabet that would be equally valid: Yascha, Yasha, Yacha. It might help if you expand your search to other possible spellings.
