Does anyone have any information on the name Lili'uokalani? It was the name of the last monarch of the Kingdom of Hawaii, Queen Lili'uokalani so that makes me assume it's of Hawaiian origin. I was just curious if anyone have any idea about the meaning.

According to the online Hawaiian-English dictionary maintained by the University of Hawaii, Lili'uokalani means "smarting of the high-born one". She was given that name because at the moment of her birth a relative was suffering from eye pain:
