Re: Meaning of the name EMMA by unknown |
True. "Aima", or "haema" (pronounced Emma)also appears in English (haematology, haematite etc.). However it is probably just a case of coincidental sound-alikeness. I have seen no documented use of "Aima" as a name in Greece however, although the related Aimisia ("Bloody"?)was a bona-fide Greek girlie name in antiquity.
