It is of ancient Greek origin, from the word "MYRRA", the myrtle tree. (In Greek lower case writing: "Murra"). It is actually the masculine form of the feminine "Murilla" and it means "of the myrtle tree"."Murillos" was an epithet of Democopos, a famous ancient Greek architect. (Thesaurus of ancient Greek names, ISBN 96-7931-65-3)LGPN covers three "Murillas". ( http://www.lgpn.ox.ac.uk)
“Poor is not he who has little but he who wants more.”
(Demokretos of Abdera, 470-369 BCE)
