thalitha...mmmhhhh.I am thalitha myself and I strongly believe that its a cute yet uncommon n unordinary name as its not that much popular.for me its a nice name and I love it so much (not cos its my name but cos it stands out, its rare n its very seldom u find one using this name proudly without worried about being mocked) am so proud of my name and we pronouce it like THALITHA. so inlove wiv it very mch.

I definitely like how it sounds, though the two TH sounds would make it hard for someone with a lisp to say. Regardless, it's very distinctive.

Is it the Arabic word for "the third"? (ثالثة thaalithah)

Is that something that's usually given as a name? I'm thinking it's far more likely it's a variant of Talitha.

I didn't even think about "talitha kumi"! I don't know if Arabic ordinals are used as names, but it was the best explanation that came to mind at the time.
