In the King James Bible the accents are marked a-don-i'-ram (1 Kings 4:6, 5:16); and a Bible dictionary gives the pronounciation, if I'm any judge, as "ah doh NEE raym", with a very very short ah at the beginning. What does your Bible dictionary say? (Personally I'd have said "ah doh NYE ram" at first, but there you go)
