Yeah, actually, we probably should know this, but my friend's little boy is named Osiris and she was wondering what it meant just the other day.

When you want to know the meaning or origin of a name, please go to the main page (www.behindthename.com) and use the SEARCH function to check that the name isn't already in the database. This board is mostly for questions about information that *isn't* in the database, and it wastes space if you ask questions that you could answer for yourself by searching first. So please make sure you always search first.
