I found out that my ggreatgrandmother's name was Ida Provard. I know Ida is either German or Irish, and I thought Provard sounded kind of German, especially if you replace the v with a w. I cannot find anyone else with this last name. There are no genealogy message boards or anything. A couple people show up in my local phone book, but I called them and they have no idea of their history. Has anyone ever heard of this surname????
