Marleena?
I have some questions on the name Marleena. Is it a German name? and if it is does anyone know if it's popular in Germany? Also, what is the meaning of Marleena? Thanks!

The sun is angry, dont forget your UV protection.According to Mike C’s list, it is a blend of Maria and Magdalene.
I propose, however, that it is a combination of Maria and Helen. Maria means “angry” in Hebrew, and Helen (or Helene in its original form) is derived from Greek word for sun. The name was obviously popularized in Germany by Goebbels' alleged ex-girlfriend Marlene Dietrich.

How about "Lili Marlene"? That was pretty popular in my granddad's war (14-18) and certainly predated even the Bier Putsch. Is this another Germanic chicken-and-egg?

Matter of fact my pre-war grandmother informs me that M. Dietrich sang Lili Marlene in her naughty pre-Hollywood days.
