Taurus in Latin = Bull, as in the sign of the zodiac, so Taurean would be: Like a bull. No idea about its history as a name ... but a glance at his date of birth might well Reveal All.

Indeed, Taurus/Toro is related to the Latin Taurus which is derived from the Greek Tauros. LPGN lists several names that are offshoots of Tauros (Eg Taurion, Taurinos, etc). Furthrmore, a priest of Poseidon was known as Taureios (Liddell-Scott).
