Soora Fiega
My name is Susan Frances. I have just found out that I was named after my Mother's aunt Soora Fiega. She was born into a Jewish family in Poland around 1898. Does anyone know what the English translation of Soora Fiega is? Thank you.

Soora reminds me or Sarah which is a Hebrew name and means 'princess', just a suggestion.

I don't know about Soora, but there's a good chance that Fiega is an alternative spelling or misspelling of Feige or Faiga (click the links for meanings).

Thanks for the input. I did google Soora and everything that came up indicated it was an Arabic name. Seems strange for a Jewish Polish family to choose an Arabic name for one of their daughters. If anyone knows anything about the name please let me know.
