I can't say something about this list, but I checked their page with German names here:

That page is a pretty wild mix of real contemporary German names, very old and now totally old-fashioned German names, and a lot of names that I really can't recognize as German and have never heard in fact.
It's a website about dogs, and possible names for them, after all.
