Lara Flynn Boyle pronounces her name LAHR-ah (she was named after the character in the movie, Doctor Zhivago as was the singer Lara Fabian who also pronounces her name that way). Lara Spencer pronounces her name like Sara. I think you may get a fair amount of "mispronunciation" if you pronounce it like Sara because of the name's origin and use after the movie (not to mention Lara Croft from Tomb Raider). LAHR-ah is the original pronunciation both as a first name and as a surname.
