My paternal grandfather and his father were named Rual. Does anyone know where this name came from? Dunno if this helps, but my surname is dutch and I believe the original spelling of the name was Reüel.

I forgot about this post. Guess I made a misunderstanding. I hadn't spent much time providing details, because I was tired when I posted. I'm an American, and my surname really didn't matter.
I wanted to know if Rual was a different spelling of another name that I was unaware of, such as Ruel, which was uncommonly used as a male's name when my great-grandfather was born. This seems more likely than Reuel. Thanks for the help.
