Mairéad = mah-RAYD in Irish (m)
Or at least that's what one of the comments on Mairéad's entry said. On the other hand, NameNerds.com says Mairéad's pr. mar-ADE (I think that'd be mar-AYD in BtN's pr. key), which is pretty much the same as mah-RAYD.NameNerds.com lists MY-rut or MEH-rut (MIE-rut or ME-rut in BtN's key, I think) as the pronunciation for Mairead, the Scottish form of Mairéad.
