Re: Latin Names
There is a notable paucity of Ancient Roman names, because the Romans went with a set of 18 common given names. Also, the cognomina were rather restricted. Many names we recognise as Latin are in fact derived from the Roman family names (nomen gentile). There is a good article in the Wikipedia herehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_naming_conventionsWhen you can read German, you may also be interested in this series of articleshttp://www.beliebte-vornamen.de/6054-altes-rom.htm (follow the link at the bottom to get the next article in this series)--elbowin
