After a comment on the opnions board I noticed that technically speaking on this site Fairuz and Fairuza are NOT related. Should they not be considered related, since the meaning in Arabic (of Fairuz) ultimately stems from the meaning in Persian (of Fairuza)?
Is this considered to be more an etymological relation to the meanings rather than these two names being variants of/related to each other?

I found on wikipedia this phrase about Turquoise...
"Iran has remained an important source of turquoise for at least 2,000 years. It was initially named by Iranians "pirouzeh" meaning "victory", and later the Arabs called it "firouzeh"
I know from my Arabic studies that فيروز (Fayruz/Fairuz) means "turquoise" and I knew that comes from Persian.
I checked in Internet and I found the Farsi word for "victory" is this پیروزی (Fairuza).
So...
1 The original name of turquoise in this area meant "victory" innfact nowadays is used the same word.
2 Arabs took this word with the meaning of Turquoise leaving the original meaning given to the stone.
It makes sense?
