Euclid
The name Euclid (Eukleides in Greek) is derived from "eu-" ("good" or "well") and "kleis" ("closed"). The literal meaning would be "well-closed".

PSEuclid was one of the most prominent mathematicians of the ancient world. He lived in Alexandria Egypt, and is best known for his treatise on geometry, the Elements.
