name meaning of Voidle

I am trying to do a little research on my fathers first name "Voidle". I haven't been able to find any information on this name, or seen/heard of anyone with this name. I did find some video gamer, Erih "Voidle" Sommermann but I think the Voidle is a nickname. My father passed away a few years ago, he never told me where the name came from. I would be grateful for any help. Thanks!

It appears to be a variation of the Hispanic name Viadel, at least in some instances Viadel in one generation becomes Voidle in the next, perhaps because of the pronunciation. Viadel seems to be Catalan, but it's also recorded in the new world.

Thanks for the Information, I am not sure where my grandmother came up with the name. I am not aware of any Spanish ancestry, I think we were mostly English and German.
