Well, according to the Internet Movie Database this movie was filmed in 1950 and the character's name was spelled Sonseeahray. The film was about the Apache, so why would you think the Blackfoot derivation could possibly be correct? Also, though the explanation for the film character's name given on IMDB is 'Morningstar', 56 years ago there actually weren't many screenwriters who consulted with actual Native Americans to find out what names actually used in their culture would have been. It is just as likely that the screenwriters completely made up the name and that it has no relationship to the real Apache words for "morning star" as that the derivation is true. You really would have to consult someone who knows the Apache language to find out if this derivation is really possible.
