Elek is actually the Hungarian form of Alexius, roughly equivalent to Alexis or even Alex in English. I couldn't see a feminine alternative, although no doubt there is one. However, the 'ike' ending is clearly a diminutive.

You could be right in that it might be closer, as an equivalent, to "Allie" rather than "Ellie".
