To Mike C.: a very good site on the pronunciation of Russian names!
Hello,I found a very good site which features the pronunciation of Russian names in a written format, and in sound files. The site also lists meanings and origins for each Russian name, so I definitely recommend you to check that site out! It might aid you in adding the pronunciations to the Russian names on your own site.http://www.fredonia.edu/faculty/emeritus/edwinlawson/russiannames/Sincerely,Lucille

Hello!
I agree with Lucille that this is a very good site, but being Russian I've found some inaccuracy which I have already reported about. I have no idea if my corrections have been noticed, but nevertheless it's a great site. I don't know about the pronunciation of Russian names, as it's realy hard to pronounce Russian names written in latin. For example, Katenka, btw this name is written with "E" instead of "I", if you write this name in Cyrillic you have to put the soft sign after 'n' (between 'n' and 'k') to make it soft - Êàòåíüêà.
The author of the site did the great job, as he collected the majority of Russian names and pet forms but not all of them (maybe even I don't know all of them :)). But if he agrees, I can give some more names or pet forms of the names, not only Russian but also Croatian (but I can't still hear the difference between Serbian and Croatian names :(() Sincerely,Katerina

Thanks Lucille, this site was mentioned to me a few months ago, so it's already on my links page.
