Re: pronounciation of Ada
I'm American and I've always hear Ada pronounced as ay-duh, like the a in fade. I've known a couple older women named Ada and lived near a village named Ada (named after the founder's wife I believe). I have heard other people say they pronounce it more like Edda. I myself have never heard that pronunciation used.
