I love the sound of this name and I've done some digging to find meaning/usage. Some of the more inaccurate sources say it's from the Greek meaning, "golden apple." I have a feeling this is a modern name that came about with the popularity of Laura and Melanie in the 70's.
There is no researchable history with this name but one more famous bearer of the name is actress Melora Waters.
