I have yet to find the meaning behind my name. I've only ever heard of it as a last name to some people. But my parents have met ONE other girl with the name, so it mustn't be that bad... Help?

This is the meaning of the last name: Kimmel, I reckon that the first name has the same meaning:
German and Jewish (Ashkenazic): from Middle High German kumin, German Kümmel ‘caraway’ (related to Latin cuminum, a word of Oriental origin, like the plant itself), hence a metonymic occupational name for a spicer, literally a supplier of caraway seeds.
