Layna?
I'm reading a story that says the name Layna is Greek and that it means "truth and light". That seems to be false to me, but the name isn't on the site so does anyone have any idea?-Seda*

It's probably a badly mangled version of the suggested meanings of Helen (the "torch" / "St Elmo's Fire" and "Moon" meanings are often corrupted to mean "light"). If Helena is pronounced he-LAY-na (as it is by some people) then Layna would be a not unreasonable spelling variation of the nickname Lena."Truth" seems to be thrown in just for fun, though!
