I dunno... "Shallan" looks like one of those created names to me, although maybe it does have some Celtic background to it. Maybe Daividh or Phyllis might know, as they're both really into the Celtic stuff.

I did discover that a "shallon", however, is a species of evergreen shrub discovered by Lewis and Clark on their famous expedition into the wilds of North America. The Indians' name for the fruit of this shrub was "salal", and Lewis changed that word to "shallon" to refer to the entire plant.

Since my usual source of info is oot, I'll see if a new contact may know (Seosai is from the Emerald Isle, too, and a Gaelic speaker herself).

It may be me but I think to two sleeveless people
1. a woman with long red(?) hair
2. a woman with long blond hair

Neither. I'm the brunette (or is that what you mean by *red(?)* hair?). I am in the photo of the Mean Rang group.

You may be nosy. As long as I'm not on the FBI's Most Wanted list, or anything like that, I don't mind. ;D

Yeah, that's me.

I took a closer look at it online and I think I look more like a redhead even though I am a brunette. I should've realized the color was off when my blue sweater came up white. Go figure. *rolleyes*
