Does anyone know the popularity stats for the name Emilia in the US in 2004? My husband and I have settled on this name for a future daughter but I'm wary of using it if it reaches the top 100 or worse yet, the top 50. It was listed as #505 for 2003. Thanks!

I'm sorry I don't have that information. I don't think it'll have jumped that much since last year, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did, as I imagine most people are reaching the end of their patience with the ridiculously overused Emily.

I don't believe the Social Security Admin tracks name popularity throughout the year. My understanding is they begin compilations after all the requests for social security cards for any given year have been completed. For example the results of 2003 weren't published until May or so if I remember correctly. For additional popularity on a name you may want to try googling your state for name popularity. Some states track this while others do not.

I can't find the stats but I don't think it would be very popular as it only reached 503 in 2003. I know one girl named Emilia about 11 years old.
