Thanks for asking the question with the additional information. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the name, even though I find a few people by googling for it. How do you pronounce it? I am guessing U- is the sound in root, the -i- as in heat, and -a as in car? Better yet, can you describe its Gujrati spelling (or the spelling in any other language of Brahmi descent)?Just a completely ignorant guess would be that the Sanskrit word uSNISa, which is said to mean something that keeps the heat (USNa, probably ultimately related to cognated for Latin aurora) away (ISate, goes fast, attacks), which is used for any head ornament (like a turban), but also for one worn by Buddha in particular, may have become unIsha in some NIA languages. unishA may be a feminine version of the same. As I said, I do not know, so wait for somebody else to answer.
