Shiraz is known as the poetic capital of Persia. It is a city in Iran. One of the most beautiful cities in the world.

I think the word is from Elamite and I do not know the meaning, but it was the name of the beautiful capital city of the Persian empire, a place of peace and beauty, of flowers and opulence, which inspired many a poet.
