Does anyone have any information about the origin or meaning of my middle name: Jeslin. It was my father's middle name and his father's too. A web search only tells me that it is a Chinese girl's name so,
being male myself, I keep that quiet! Any info welcome, though.

I would assume for Jeslyn to be a female name. A mixture of Jes and Lyn, akin Jaslyn or Jessalyn.

Agata,
Please note the spelling is with an 'I' not a 'Y'. You might think that Marion was a female name. John Wayne's parents didn't though.
